We Don't Always Win
Let your kids know that they won't win every time they compete. The most important thing in any competition is that they do the best they can,
every time they can. If they lose - it's okay - they played, they tried, they improved their skill.

This is an invaluable life lesson because as we all know - we don't always win, but we learn about ourselves when get out there and try.

Any time of the day, after or during a meal, call out math problems and let your kids come up with the answers.  Start simple and GRADUALLY increase the numbers and skill. 
For example:

​1) Begin with 4, divide it by 2, add 3 -- what is the answer?
2) Begin with 14, divide it by 7, multiply it by 2,
what is the answer?
3) Begin with 20, multiply it by 2, divide it by 2,
And the answer is?
4) Begin with 25, divide it by 5,
what is the answer?
